Application Process

Applicants to osteopathic medical school must complete undergraduate degrees including pre-med level basic sciences in biology, physics, chemistry and organic chemistry. They must score well on the MCAT (Medical College Admission Test) and maintain a strong GPA. The application process is through the American Association of Colleges of Osteopathic Medicine Application Service (AACOMAS) and includes primary and secondary applications plus letters of recomendation and an interview. Many osteopathic medical schools prefer or require that their applicants have a letter of recomendation from a DO.
